The Bison Are Back

You don’t want to miss the Bison return to the field in 2017. We have the Bison football, volleyball, golf, cross country and soccer schedules and we can’t wait to attend every game.

Football

First Home Game: 9/2 – Mississippi Valley State – Fargo – 2:30 p.m. 

The Bison football team returns to the Fargodome after a stunning defeat in the semifinals of the 2016 FCS playoffs. The Bison welcome back starting quarterback Easton Stick and a wealth of talented skill position players on offense, including senior RJ Urzendowski and junior Darrius Shepherd. The Bison defense is poised for a strong season with the return of All-Missouri Valley Football team honorees Nick DeLuca, Nate Tanguay, Jalen Allison, Tre Dempsey and Robbie Grimsley.

 

Volleyball

First Home Game: 9/1 – Northern Colorado – Fargo – 6 p.m.

Defending Summit League Defensive Player of the Year Mikaela Purnell will lead the volleyball team against another difficult slate of nonconference opponents to begin the season. You can catch Purnell and the Bison open their home schedule against Northern Colorado during the NDSU Classic at the Bentson Bunker Fieldhouse.

Cross Country

First Home Meet: 9/1 – Bison Open – Fargo – 5:45 p.m.

The men’s and women’s cross country team will begin their season on the same day at the Bison Open on Rose Creek Golf Course. Junior Brittany Brownotter will look to defend her Bison Open title while sophomore Evan Kottsick will look to improve on his third place finish last season.

Soccer

First Home Game: 8/18 – North Dakota – Fargo – 7 p.m.

2016 leading goal scorer and striker Holly Enderle will lead the Bison against in-state opponent the University of North Dakota during NDSU’s season-opener at Dacotah Field. The Bison soccer team returns three of their Top 5 goal scorers from last year as they push for another regular season conference title.

Golf

First Round: 9/1 – Omaha Invitational/UNO Invitational – Nebraska City, Neb.

The men’s and women’s team will be in Omaha, Nebraska, to begin their 2017-18 campaigns. Natalie Roth will lead the women’s team in the Omaha Invitational at ArborLinks while the men tee-off at the UNO Invitational on the same golf course.
